Switzerland-based provider of ICT solutions and services provider Also Holding announced the acquisition of Solytron Bulgaria.
Founded in Sofia in 1991, Solytron Bulgaria, with sales of €110 million and a market share of over 30%, is one of the leading IT distributors in Bulgaria. The company provides all of the components required to set up modern corporate ICT infrastructures – network and communication equipment, monitors and multimedia, computer systems and components, peripheral devices, power supply solutions, physical protection systems, accessories and multimedia, software.
According to the official statement, Solyton has steadily grown for the past six years and its market share of over 30% is a good starting position for Also from which to continue to benefit from Bulgaria’s economic development. The investment is in line with the aim of Also to expand operations in the region. On completion of the acquisition, the company will be represented in nearly all East European markets except Russia.
ALSO Holding AG (ALSN.SW) (Emmen/Switzerland) offers more than 550 vendors of hardware, software, and IT-services access to over 100 000 buyers, who can call a broad spectrum of other customized services in the logistics, finance, and IT services sectors, as well as traditional distribution services. The company provides development of complex IT landscapes, provision and maintenance of hardware and software, as well as return, reconditioning and remarketing of IT hardware. ALSO is represented in 18 European countries. It has generated total net sales of approximately 9.2 billion euros with around 4 000 employees in the fiscal year 2018.
