The world’s oldest and largest manufacturer and designer of control systems, Woodward, Inc. opened a new facility in Sofia.
Woodward, Inc. is independent designer and manufacturer of control system solutions and components for the aerospace and industrial markets.
On July 15, 2016 Woodward Bulgaria celebrated the grand opening of the AS (Airframe Systems) and ITS (Industrial Turbomachinery Systems) facility in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The joint facility will provide space for the engineering and service of converters for wind energy generators and the manufacturing of electro-mechanical components.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Sofia, The Deputy Minister of the Bulgarian Economy, U.S. embassy officers and executives from the American Chamber of Commerce.

Engineering is getting bigger in Sofia
With the establishment of the new facility of Woodward in Sofia the city expanded its engineering and production portfolio.
