Prospects for the development of the railway route Vienna – Istanbul

“Prospects for the development of the railway route Vienna – Istanbul” – an event organized by the Railway Signalling, Automation, Communication and Industry Association (RASTIA) together with the Green Transport Cluster in partnership with Invest Sofia and with the support of the Council of Branch Organizations at BCCI.

The event was held on March 26th in the building of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The CEO of Invest Sofia Maria Hristova PhD. presented to the participants the activities of our agency. The chief expert from the Investment Analysis Department Lyudmil Ivanov PhD. who was part of the organization of the forum presented a concept for a high-speed railway line from the Austrian capital to the new airport of Istanbul.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the state enterprise “National Railway Infrastructure Company”, BDZ, universities and NGOs, as well as representatives of foreign trade missions in Bulgaria. During the forum, the possibility of improving the conventional railway along the route was also discussed.
