Invest Sofia Presented Bulgaria as an Investment Destination within the Bulgarian Delegation at the Slush 2023 in Helsinki
Invest Sofia took part in the Bulgarian #BreakingGrounds entrepreneurial delegation within the SLUSH 2023 festival in Helsinki – a leading event for startups and investors worldwide. In this year’s edition, our country had its stand for the first time, as well as its presentation panel, in which the advantages of Bulgaria as an investment destination and the strengths of the innovation and technology environment were presented.
Viktor Gusev, Head of the Investment Analysis Department at Invest Sofia joined the delegation in Helsinki, together with experts from the Fund of Funds, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Agency, which organized the Bulgarian participation in Helsinki. With us at the festival were the innovative Bulgarian companies Integrator, JSC, Evrotrust, Anthill, Exadel and Diginovo. The delegation was led by Minister of Innovation Milena Stoicheva and Boyko Takov, Executive Director of BSMEPA.
The Forum took place between 30 November and 1 December and this year gathered over 13,000 visitors, 5,000 company founders, 3,000 investors, 2,000 corporate executives, 300 media representatives, and 200 researchers and policymakers from Europe and the world.
We are happy that the international stage of SLUSH 2023 showed the energy and the potential of the Bulgarian tech and startup environment. The forum was an opportunity for our companies to showcase themselves, and for the institutions that joined the Bulgarian delegation – an international stage to demonstrate the dynamic and supportive environment we are developing with the entrepreneurs and investors in Bulgaria.
This is the second powerful presentation of our country on the international investment scene in November. Two weeks ago, our team took part in the Bulgarian delegation at another key event for innovation, technology and digitalization – WebSummit 2023 in Lisbon, where Bulgaria also had the opportunity to clearly state its ambition to be a European innovation hub in the region.
