The Research and Development Association at Sofia Tech Park has been approved as an Impact builder for the implementation of the EU-funded Project X2.0. The goal of the project is to increase the number of high-tech startups in the European Union by providing individualized, industry-oriented 6-month growth programs that act as a catalyst for the development of go-to-market-ready applications and technological solutions in 5 key impact areas: Manufacturing & Circular Economy, AgriTech, HealthTech & BioTech, Smart Cities and Sustainability, and Data & A.I. Over 100 companies, organizations, and individual experts are also IBs in the growth program. The Innovation Academy of the innovative company Innovation Starter has opened applications for its tenth edition. The hackathon is the largest public-private partnership in the country between organizations from the private, academic, public, and NGO sectors and is dedicated to the development of entrepreneurial skills among students. Participants in Innovation Academy 2023 will be able to shape their first business projects and develop prototypes. The project is divided into three main modules: mentoring, lectures, and pitching of the ideas at a final competition, which this year will be held on June 2nd and 3rd. Companies with projects and activities related to climate change, civil security, and circular economy can arrange bilateral business meetings with partners within the virtual event AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT. The event will take place on May 16 and will be hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Companies will be able to promote and demonstrate their products, projects, or services on the event’s special B2B platform, as well as describe the partnerships they are seeking and schedule individual meetings with other participants. BCCI invites companies to another event, of which it is a co-organizer. Between June 8-10 in Thessaloniki, Greece, the B2B forum Forward Green (FG Expo) will take place. The event combines an exhibition and a congress program focused on the implementation of new approaches based on the circular economy, green development, and business model transformation toward sustainable development.
