black-mussel-reef-farmsYou have until June 12 to vote for the world’s most successful start-up in the Chivas Venture competition.
The Bulgarian finalist this year is Sea Harmony, a start-up from Varna, with their innovative development of vertical mussel farms. The company competes with 29 promising start-ups worldwide for a USD 250 000 share of the USD 1 000 000 prize pool.

The winners will be announced at the Chivas Venture Final in Los Angeles on July 13. The five finalists will have five minutes to impress the jury in front of a live audience.

black-mussel-reef-farmsThe young team of Sea Harmony has a project aimed at reviving “dead zones” in the seas and oceans hit by industrial and domestic pollution. Their innovative development of vertical black mussel reef farms restores the food chain in its entirety – from plankton through shellfish, shrimp and fish to mammals. You can view the projects of all 30 finalists on the site of the competition, as well as vote for the Bulgarian participation.

Chivas Venture has been present for three years now and over 6 000 projects from six continents have submitted applications for participation. This year all 30 finalists represent a different country and the direction of the ideas for a better tomorrow is absolutely heterogeneous – the Australian Words With Heart raises funds for the education of girls and women, and WEAROBOT from Mexico creates accessible mechanical exoskeletons for people with physical disabilities.
