Powers Summit 2025 Brought Together Institutions, Business Leaders and Experts in a Debate on Security, Technology and the Future of Europe
Sofia Investment Agency joined the forum with a focus on cybersecurity, digital resilience and strategic partnerships
Sofia Investment Agency participated in Powers Summit 2025 “Power, Listen!” — an annual forum organized by the Webit Foundation and the National Digital Coalition with the support of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria.
Often referred to as “the Bulgarian Davos,” the event brought together representatives of the executive branch, leaders of parliamentary parties, business executives, representatives of the technology sector, civil society organizations and international experts in an open dialogue on the future of Bulgaria and Europe.
The central theme of this year’s edition was security — national, energy, healthcare, technological and societal security — and the need to build resilient models in the context of global crises, accelerating digitalization and a rapidly changing geopolitical environment.
Sofia Investment Agency was represented by Viktor Gusev, Head of Investment Analysis Department, Kris Dermendzhiev and Matey Minev.
The forum featured discussions dedicated to cybersecurity, the resilience of digital infrastructure, the development of artificial intelligence, energy security and the role of technology in the development of the economy and the public sector.
Special emphasis was placed on the need for closer cooperation between institutions, businesses and the technology community in order to build a more secure and resilient digital environment.
“Digital transformation creates tremendous opportunities for growth, but it also presents new challenges related to security, resilience and data protection. This is why active dialogue between business, the technology sector and institutions is critically important,” commented Viktor Gusev.
According to him, Sofia Investment Agency is actively working to encourage innovation, support the development of the technology sector and create an environment that fosters sustainable business growth and investment.
“Sofia has the potential not only to become a technology hub, but also a model for a modern and sustainable digital economy in the region,” he emphasized.
Participants also discussed the impact of emerging technologies on the economy, social processes and public governance, as well as the need for Europe to develop its own capacity in strategic technological sectors.
Powers Summit 2025 further strengthened its role as one of Bulgaria’s most significant platforms bringing together institutions, businesses, the technology community and civil society around the topics of the future, security and economic development.
