Invest Sofia concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with the premium flexible office & networking space Entract 127. The Document was signed by Dr. Maria Hristova, CEO of Invest Sofia, and by Monica Grigorova, General Мanager at Entract 127 during a meeting on March 8, 2022.
Under the agreed partnership, the two parties will cooperate in holding initiatives related to the development of the entrepreneurial community in the city, and attracting investments in Sofia. As part of the agreement, Entract 127 will provide Invest Sofia with an equipped office space for meetings and events, aimed at supporting the business in the city.
Entract 127 is one of Sofia’s newest premium flexible office & networking spaces, providing opportunities for valuable professional networking. The organisation is a partner of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and BBBA and is a frequent event host of the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies – BASSCOM, the Bulgarian Fintech Association, and others. Entract 127 is situated on six floors, right in the heart of Sofia, on 127 Rakovski St. The investors have completely renovated the administrative center of Slavianska Beseda and regained the importance of the iconic place, turning it into a flexible and elegant office space for work, creativity, and networking.
‘I am very pleased with our partnership with Entract 127. The business space is a project of successful foreign entrepreneurs in Sofia – Olga Marsenak and Xavier Marsenak, who stand behind the Sofia-based biotech “Nasekomo”, and Christophe Coutat, founder and owner at Advent Group, a leading company in marketing and holding events for higher education institutions. This confirms the long-term intentions of foreign investors in the city and shows that they see favorable conditions for the development of their future investment projects. It’s great that Sofia’s landmark building from 1935, designed in the typical modernist style of its time, has been preserved and since last year has been the meeting place for Sofia’s vibrant business ecosystem’, Dr. Maria Hristova said on the occasion of signing the Memorandum with Entract 127.

Skilled staff, green and friendly city: these are among the main advantages which attract new investors to Sofia.
Despite the decrease in investments in the domestic industry that we saw in 2021, we managed to attract the second largest Indian company. It has already set the start of its activities in Sofia and plans to create 300 new jobs in the automotive sector industry in the next twelve months, Dr. Maria Hristova, CEO at Invest Sofia, said in an interview for BTA. The city attracts investors mostly with its talent pool. For the successful implementation of its activities, the company was looking for experts in engineering, fluent in foreign languages but also liked the good connectivity of Sofia, the green urban areas, the lively cultural life in the city, and decided to set up here, in Sofia, Hristova added.

The largest IT community in Bulgaria DEV.BG has launched a new project – a survey called “The Voice of IT”, that aims to hear the insights and ideas of at least 5,000 IT professionals and to outline the latest local trends that are shaping the industry. We invite all Sofia-based companies, IT professionals and active participants in the technology community to get involved and share their vision.
The initiative aims to bring out latest data and key trends for the benefit of all professionals, companies and organizations that are part of this industry of key importance for Sofia and the country. In order to gain as much insight from the active ecosystem players, DEV.BG has chosen to conduct the survey not by filling out a questionnaire, but by conducting short live online face-to-face meetings with anyone who is actively involved in the development of the IT sector in our country. Thus, the organizers want to map out the best route for the industry by hearing the voice of the people who participate on a daily basis in its life and development and to get vision and useful ideas that will support its future directly from the ecosystem representatives.
Participants can have their say on where is the Bulgarian IT sector going, is there a vision for the industry and what is it, what is needed to continue and strengthen the growth from outsourcing to high added-value products and services and Rn’D activities.
If you have at least one year of experience in the sector as a developer, QA, DevOps, SysAdmin, Architect, Team Lead, Project manager, Data Scientist or another role closely related to technology, spare some time and have your say in the study. The DEV.BG team has opened a calendar to allow anyone to schedule an online meeting at a convenient day and time. The meetings take place in Google Meet.
The DEV.BG platform is the largest IT community in Bulgaria. During the six years since its launch, more than 800 events have been held, completely free, from specialists to specialists in the sector, with nearly 55,000 attendees so far.
