\"innovations-technologysourcing-awards-2017-boa-basscom\"Sofia won the Best IT Partner <\/strong>Award i<\/span><\/span>n the second edition of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Innovations, Technology & Sourcing Awards<\/a>\u00a0organized by the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association<\/a> (BO\u0410) and\u00a0<\/span>Bulgarian association of software companies<\/a>\u00a0(BASSCOM) <\/span> on June 16. <\/span><\/span>The award is given <\/span><\/span>for providing favorable conditions for the development of the IT sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Mr. Vladimir\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Danailov<\/span><\/span>, CEO of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Sofia Priv<\/span><\/span>atization and Investment Agency<\/span><\/span>\u00a0received the award at\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the official ceremony<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span>n Grand Hotel Primoretz, Burgas<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Innovation, Technology & Sourcing Awards 2017<\/span><\/span> mark<\/span><\/span>ed<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the achievements of Bulgarian outsourcing and software companies, as well as start-ups, investors and local authorities in <\/span><\/span>10 categories, four of which in the technology sector and two recognizing the efforts of affiliated businesses, local authorities and universities.<\/p>\n

“Bringing BOA and BASSCOM together to the awards is a positive precedent which proves that when you work in synergy you achieve sustainable results. Our joint efforts have contributed and will continue to contribute for building Bulgaria as a leading outsourcing and technology destination. This year’s awards in Burgas are a bright example of a good partnership between the BOA and the municipality for the development of the outsourcing sector in Bulgaria”<\/em>, said\u00a0Stanimir Nikolov, chairman of BOA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The International jury of\u00a0Innovation, Technology & Sourcing Awards<\/a>\u00a0has awarded\u00a0Bulpros\u00a0<\/strong>with\u00a0Outsourcing Service Provider of the Year<\/strong>. Second place in the prestigious category grabbed\u00a0Sutherland<\/strong>, and the third –\u00a0Telus International<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The award\u00a0Software Company of the Year<\/strong>\u00a0was given to\u00a0Programista<\/strong>. Second place was conquered by\u00a0SoftServe<\/strong>. After a contested race, third place is for\u00a0EPAM\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Accedia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An interesting fact is that a number of outsourcing companies have submitted applications at prima facie in IT categories such as IT Project of the Year<\/strong> and IT Product of the Year<\/strong>. The winners in the respective categories are\u00a0Lirex\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0coBuilder<\/strong>. Second place for an\u00a0IT project<\/strong>\u00a0was given to\u00a0Bulpros<\/strong>, a third to\u00a0Upnetix\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Code Runners<\/strong>. The second prize in the\u00a0IT product of the year<\/strong>\u00a0was awarded to\u00a0Experian<\/strong>, and\u00a0Code Runners<\/strong>\u00a0stands behind it.<\/p>\n

Technology Employer of the Year<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0Scale Focus<\/strong>, second and third respectively are\u00a0Programista\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Experian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The most\u00a0innovative technology company<\/strong>\u00a0for 2016 is\u00a0Bulpros<\/strong>.\u00a0Sutherland\u00a0<\/strong>was awarded second and\u00a0SoftServe\u00a0<\/strong>third.<\/p>\n

Sirma Medical Systems<\/strong>\u00a0was named Startup Company of the Year<\/strong>. The second place was assigned to\u00a0HeleCloud<\/strong>, and the third was\u00a0Cargill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Center for Shared Services of the Year<\/strong>\u00a0in the second edition of the Bulgarian hi-tech awards has become\u00a0Cargill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For\u00a0Technology City of the Year<\/strong>\u00a0voted members of BOA and BASSCOM, uniting more than 120 leading hi-tech companies. For the second consecutive year\u00a0Burgas\u00a0<\/strong>won a special prize. At the official\u00a0Innovations, Technology & Sourcing Awards\u00a0ceremony,\u00a0Burgas\u00a0<\/strong>was named\u00a0Most Dynamically Developing Technology City of the Year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"innovation-technology-awards-2017-bia-basscom\"“I am proud that this year Burgas hosts the most important event for the technological sector. The whole team of the municipality works for the development of the city and the creation of good conditions. We have set up a public IT development and outsourcing industry council whose primary task is to provide the necessary information and assist potential investors, including the provision of qualified staff. Burgas offers all the necessary conditions for the development of the industry – human resource, office space, good location, developed infrastructure and administration that work side by side with business and universities,<\/em>”\u00a0said Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Burgas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Varna\u00a0<\/strong>won the special award Technological City with Highest Growth Potential in the Sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The qualitative and business-compliant buildings in the sector were awarded in the category\u00a0Technological Business Building of the Year<\/strong>\u00a0and the award was given to\u00a0Sofia\u00a0Airport Center<\/strong>. The second is\u00a0Smart Center<\/strong>\u00a0of Planex and the third –\u00a0European Trade Center<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Bulgaria continues its dynamic development as a country offering conditions for the development of outsourcing and IT industries, which is directly related to the high qualification of the employees in the sectors and the long-term vision of the companies that are already imposing trends on the global market, not just following established practices. The proof is that Bulgaria has won the European Outsourcing Association’s (EOA ) award for Outsourcing Destination for 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
