The CEO of Invest Sofia, Dr. Maria Hristova, participated in the conference “EmpowerHer: Elevate to Excellence”, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria on the occasion of the International Women’s Day – March 8<\/strong>. The EmpowerHer initiative was launched in 2022 between the American Chambers of Commerce in Europe, the American Chamber of Commerce in the European Union and the US Department of Commerce. The main objective of the event is to increase the economic empowerment of women in the workplace and women’s entrepreneurship. Among the main points of the initiative are improving the business environment for women, identification of opportunities and mechanisms for raising awareness of the depth and significance of the topic among various stakeholders.<\/p>\n


\nThe program of the conference “EmpowerHer: Elevate to Excellence” includes a panel discussion “Lead and Inspire” and a presentation of the European initiative “INVEST’HER<\/strong>: Encouraging entrepreneurship among women”, which aims to overcome the imbalance in women’s access to finance for entrepreneurship in the EU countries and to build a network of investors and start-up companies, which through the sharing of experience and knowledge will support the building of capacity, contacts and opportunities for the development of women’s entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
