The announcement was made at a meeting of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to its plans for more activities in the country, the bank will lease 650 square metres of office space in addition to the<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/gtc.com.pl\/world-bank-as-a-new-tenant-of-advance-business-center-ii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4,000 square metres rented in January<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Advance Business Center II building currently under construction by the Polish company GTC near the Business Park in the Mladost neighborhood.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The agreement on the World Bank&#8217;s entry into Bulgaria was signed just a year ago after a long process of evaluating the environment in several competing locations on criteria such as stability, quality of the IT infrastructure, advanced technology sector, competences of the labor force.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thus, Sofia became<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/bg\/news\/press-release\/2019\/07\/18\/world-bank-group-opens-new-office-for-shared-services-in-bulgaria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the group&#8217;s second shared services center<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> after the one in Chennai, India, which opened in 2001. At the opening of the office, the bank announced its intention to hire 300 specialists in the city within five years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.advancecenter.bg\/bg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advance Business Center II<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> building should be completed by the end of this year.
