{"id":17279,"date":"2019-04-08T19:40:54","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T16:40:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/investsofia.com\/en\/?p=17279"},"modified":"2019-04-08T19:42:50","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T16:42:50","slug":"eib-provides-two-new-loans-support-smes-digitization-businesses-bulgaria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/investsofia.com\/en\/eib-provides-two-new-loans-support-smes-digitization-businesses-bulgaria\/","title":{"rendered":"EIB Provides Two New Loans to Support SMEs and Digitization of Businesses in Bulgaria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17274\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17274\" style=\"width: 298px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17274\" src=\"http:\/\/investsofia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/EIB-Building-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"298\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/investsofia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/EIB-Building-2019.jpg 298w, https:\/\/investsofia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/EIB-Building-2019-219x146.jpg 219w, https:\/\/investsofia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/EIB-Building-2019-50x33.jpg 50w, https:\/\/investsofia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/EIB-Building-2019-112x75.jpg 112w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 298px) 100vw, 298px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17274\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image source: www.eib.org<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The European Investment Bank (EIB) granted two new loans in Bulgaria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; a \u20ac20m loan to Raiffeisen Leasing, for investments in small and medium-sized companies (the second tranche of a \u20ac50m loan)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; and a \u20ac18m loan to the global technology company Software Group \u2013 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EIB\u2019s first transaction with venture debt features in Bulgaria and backed by a guarantee from the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), a key component of the Investment Plan for Europe.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The loan agreement with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Raiffeisen Leasing Bulgaria <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will support projects by some 300 Bulgarian SMEs and at least 8,000 jobs in the country. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eib.org\/en\/infocentre\/press\/releases\/all\/2019\/2019-077-eib-signs-two-new-loans-in-bulgaria-following-a-strong-year-in-2018.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Raiffeisen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the new credit line will provide financing for a wide scope of companies in the agriculture, manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors and will help them increase their competitiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u20ac18m loan to Software Group will facilitate the execution of the company\u2019s R&amp;D strategy and strengthen its global reach. Software Group is a global technology company helping financial service providers digitalise their business and successfully go through the process of digital transformation.
