Vladimir Danailov, Executive Director of Sofia Investment Agency, and an Investment Analysis Department team of the Agency launched an open dialogue on potential partnerships in joint projects with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paih.gov.pl\/about_us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Polish Investment and Trade Agency<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/coie.armsa.pl\/About,us,134.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mazovia Development Agency<\/a>, representatives of the European Funds and Economic Development Directorate at Warsaw Municipality, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arp.pl\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Poland\u2019s Industrial Development Agency<\/a>, Center for Innovation &#8211; Warsaw, <a href=\"http:\/\/sse.lodz.pl\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lodz Special Economic Zone<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kpt.krakow.pl\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Krakow Technology Park<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.en.marr.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Malopolska Development Agency<\/a>, Municipality of Krakow, Urban Development Directorate &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.krakow.pl\/english\/business\/39023,artykul,investor_support_centre.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Investor Support Center<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jagiellonskiecentruminnowacji.pl\/?chlng=en#\/life-science-park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Science Park for Biotechnology and Center for Innovation<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Bulgarian team of the Agency introduced to its Polish colleagues the business environment in Sofia as well as investment opportunities in the city. For their part, the Polish host organizations presented opportunities for bilateral business contacts and the conditions for development of specific industries in Poland. It is situated at the crossing point of communication routes between the West (Austria, Germany) and the East (Ukraine), the North (Scandinavian countries) and the South (Slovakia, Hungary), and has exceptional assets. The main sectors of the regional economy are automotive industry, metallurgical industry, chemical industry, energy industry, food industry, trade, new technologies sector, and biotechnology sector including medical and pharmaceutical industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Krakow \u2013 the capital of Ma\u0142opolska, is the seat of international financial, advisory and educational institutions and is the second center for research &#8211; development in Poland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Krak\u00f3w Special Economic Zone covers an area of over 949 hectares. It is situated in Ma\u0142opolska, \u015awi\u0119tokrzyskie and Podkarpacie Regions, where the level of public aid is the highest in Poland. In Ma\u0142opolska, the level of aid is 35%, 45%, and 55%, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Krak\u00f3w Technology Park (KTP) is supporting companies at any stage of their growth. The range of services for businesses encompasses also an opportunity to finance innovative projects, which is the domain of the KTP Seed Fund. Companies may count on free consulting and training in running business and establishment of the technological profile of their activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jagiello\u0144skie Centrum Innowacji Sp. z o.o &#8211; a company established in 2004 by the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, managing Life Science Park, and offering a complementary set of services for entrepreneurs and scientists active in the field of natural sciences, including specialist lab space rental, capital support for innovative companies, contract research services and clinical trials, and leading numerous educational initiatives. The founder and sole shareholder of the Jagiellonian Innovation Center is the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, which holds 100% of shares in the company. The Life Science Park is a grand complex of three buildings with a total area of 20,000 square metres. It offers services for entrepreneurs and scientists who work on the development of life sciences.
