It is expected that the market for eco-technologies in Southeast Europe will continue to develop. Climate change is becoming increasingly unmanageable and coping with its negative effects requires huge costs. All industries are striving toward more resource efficiency and competitiveness; households are looking for cost-effective and digital solutions, and the circular economy offers a smart alternative to meet the challenges. The EU’s next programming period 2021-2027 offers favourable opportunities for the financing of large-scale policy integration and eco-innovation in Southeast Europe. Its main priorities are: sustainable infrastructure, environment and climate, digitalisation.
Companies from 13 countries participated in the latest edition of the forum, and the Austrian Pavilion was organised for the 10th consecutive year. The exhibition attracted 3,400 experts from 11 countries, and 52 speakers and 270 delegates participated in the parallel conferences.
